For UK distributors, wholesalers and manufacturers
Send us the order email your team dreads. We’ll send back the draft order.
Forward one real order as it arrived: an email, a PDF, a photo of a handwritten sheet, a screenshot of a text. By the end of the next working day you get back the order lines we read from it, what we’d flag, and the questions we’d ask before it went into your system.
It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Try it now
Paste one order or quote request. See it read back in seconds.
Blank out names and prices if you like. What you paste is read by an AI model and shown back to you; we don’t keep it. Privacy.
The read appears here: the lines, what a person should check, and the questions we’d ask before it went into your system.
This is the first step only. Send it to us and by the end of the next working day we’ll come back with the draft order it would become, and what we’d need from your product list, prices and stock to finish it.
What comes back
The order, read and checked, plus the questions a good order clerk would ask.
-
1
The lines
Each product, quantity and unit, as we read them from what your customer wrote. “The usual” and “same as last week” are marked for your order history to fill in.
-
2
The flags
Cases against units, swaps the customer allowed, a missing delivery day, anything a person should look at before it goes in.
-
3
The questions
What we’d need from you to turn it into a finished draft order in your own system: your product list, the customer’s prices, stock.
A reply, for example
A pub’s Thursday order to a foodservice wholesaler.
You send
Hi, usual for Friday please plus 2 cs of the 10 ltr mayo (NOT the 5) and chips, McCain if you have them, if not whatever’s similar. Cheers, Gary, The Anchor
We read
- “Usual for Friday”: last Friday’s order for The Anchor, from your history
- Mayonnaise, 10 litre, 2 cases. Not the 5 litre
- Oven chips, McCain first choice
- Customer allows a swap on chips; your rule decides which
- “For Friday” read as Friday delivery; check it’s on his route
We ask you
3 questions before this is a draft order
Is “usual” his standing order or simply last Friday’s? Which chips do you swap to when McCain is short? Does a Thursday 06:58 order make Friday’s van?
Illustration with invented data. Your reply is written about your order.
Quotes
Make things to order? Send a quote request instead.
Forward one enquiry as it came in, with its drawing or spec. You get back the spec as we read it, the gaps we’d ask the customer about before pricing, and what we’d need from your rate tables to price it.
Your data
What happens to what you send.
- What we use it for
- Replying to you. Nothing else, and it is never shown to anyone outside Harrowell.
- Blank things out
- Customer names, addresses and prices can go. Most of the test still works without them.
- Who reads it
- Elad, who runs Harrowell, and the AI tools we use for the work, named on our privacy page.
- How long we keep it
- We delete it within 30 days of replying, or straight away if you ask.
- And then
- We’ll offer you thirty minutes to talk about what a working version would look like in your business. Say no and that’s the end of it.
Send it
One order, as it arrived.
Forward it to the address below, or use the button. A reply by the end of the next working day, UK time.
The Open Build. We’ll build one UK supplier an order desk system, free and in public, measured on its own numbers. Everyone who applies gets a one-page read of their own workflow. Applications close at 5pm UK time on Friday 6 November. See the Open Build.
